George Albert Lovejoy

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, George A. Lovejoy "G" peacefully went home with the Lord at the blessed age of 52 with his family by his side.  He was born to the late Marvin and Virginia Lovejoy on April 6, 1973.  

George loved to be around his family and friends watching his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers, and basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers.  He was an avid fan of both.  Those that knew George knows he would crack jokes at any given moment.  George was a very hard worker and would take care of his family no matter what.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Virginia Lovejoy; brother, William Lovejoy; uncle, Jerry Lovejoy; grandfather, McClinton Lovejoy; and grandmother, Daisy Lovejoy.

He is survived by his wife, Tiffany Lovejoy; children, Virginia Weber, Robbie Sams, Dion Sams, Jayla Banks, Javon Banks, Jordan Banks, and Jamere Banks, all of Akron, Ohio; grandkids, Javon Banks Jr., Julian Banks, JaLani Bennett, Kalani Sams, Kingdom Sams, Kyree Sams; sisters, Carmen Brooks of Arizona, Tracey Lovejoy of Texas, Marketa (Jason) Martin of Akron, Ohio; nieces, Makira (John) Giner, Jonella Lovejoy, JaKayla Martin, Chelsey Lovejoy, Erin Brooks; nephews, Jeffery Lovejoy and Jason Martin III; great nephews, Trhue Lovejoy, Bryson Lovejoy and Dante Giner; and three close friends, Johnny Graham, Marvin Smith, and Phillip; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Adams Mason Funeral Home 791 E. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44305 with Pastor Tony Higgins officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
