George D. Mast
Hillview - George D. "Spike" Mast, 89, of Hillview, Ill., died Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 8, 1936, in Hillview, the son of George W. and Lucille (Henson) Mast.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one sister, Doreen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary, and one brother, Roger.
Spike was a resident of Greene County and a friend of the community. He was an outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family.

Steve and I send our deepest sympathies. We loved Spike,and enjoyed his great stories,and his cooking,and various treats he shared at the American Legion and the VFW. We will miss his humor, that brightened our day.
