George Mayhan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Viegut Funeral Home on Oct. 1, 2025.
With deep love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of our beloved brother, uncle, great uncle, and stepfather, George Randolph Mayhan, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mary Mayhan; his brother, Mike Mayhan; and his stepson, JP Ahl. George is survived by his brother Tim Mayhan; Tim's longtime girlfriend and George's dearest friend, Vickie Torres; his sisters, Debbie Amack and Linda Ekblad; his nephew, Caleb Ekblad; his nieces, Krysty Williams, Nicole Lewis, Shawney Martinez, Lacey Amack, and Veronica Martinez; his great nephews, Lex Ekblad, Cole Williams, James Williams, and Wyatt Williams, and Jackson Lewis; his great nieces, Kaylee Lewis and Myla Martinez; and children, whom he considered his stepchildren, Latisha Ahl, Kristy Jackson, and Eric Jackson.
George was born and lived in Denver at an early age, but lived the remainder of his life in Loveland, Colorado. He graduated from Washington High School. George's passion for cars, dirt bikes, and classic vehicles (owning and refurbishing a Mustang, Ranchero, and Bronco) led him to the mechanical profession he so loved, where he worked for the Ford Company for over 30 years.
George was generous in sharing his mechanical skills with his family and friends in need of free or affordable auto repair. He welcomed friends and, at times, strangers in need into his comfy home.
Though George never married, he was considered a father figure to many. He also enjoyed sharing his love for cars, wilderness camping, and dirt bike adventures with everyone he embraced.
Please join us in celebrating George's life and lunch gathering. Come prepared with your loving and crazy George stories to share! We are sure there will be many.
Services are scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11 am at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 N. Lincoln, Loveland, Colorado, 80538.
