George Dean McHenry, 81, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at St. Louis de Greeff Hospice House. Born on Tuesday, January 4, 1944, George lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family.
As a devoted stockman for over 20 years at Kroger Grocery Store, he became a familiar and reliable presence to both colleagues and customers. His work ethic and commitment to his job were evident in everything he did.
Beyond his professional life, George found immense joy in farming hay and raising cattle, activities that brought him closer to nature and fulfilled his desire for hard work and commitment to family values. His greatest pride and joy, however, came from his role as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. George treasured the time spent with his family, as well as the cherished moments with his grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. McHenry and Golda Mae (Bannister) Clark; his wife of his children, Vickie Lee (Davis) McHenry, one sister, Melba Faye Evans, niece, Brenda Faye Evans and nephew, Barry Leroy Evans.
He is survived by his two sons, Walter Dean McHenry and Kelly Lee McHenry; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren
George Dean McHenry will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, dear George. You have left a lasting imprint in the hearts of many.
A private family burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
