George Allen Meadows, age 65 of Mooringsport, Louisiana; devoted husband, loving father, and true family man, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Known for his quick wit, big heart, and the special nicknames he gave everyone, George had a way of making people laugh and feel seen wherever he went.
George was the kind of man who could light up a room with his humor and charm. He was funny, a little flirty, and always full of life. He enjoyed the simple pleasures, cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers, spending time in the great outdoors hunting, and never missing a good wrestling match.
He is preceded in death by his parents; George Newton and Betty Sanderson, his stepmother; Linda Meadows, his son; Brandon Meadows, and his niece; Taylor Harrell.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 31 years; Lisa Meadows, his children; Tiffany Piquiet and Joshua Harrell, and his grandson; Bryson Gilmore. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his laughter and love dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his best friend, Alvin, and to Ms. Veronica for their support and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in George’s name, honoring his generous spirit and love for others.
