Passed away peacefully on Thursday February 5, 2026, at 92 years old.

Born in Rochester, NY on June 27, 1933, to Arno Mueller and Rhena (Barthelmes) Mueller.

George grew up on Elmgrove Road in Gates but went to Spencerport schools where his wrestling team photo still hangs in the high school.

He served in the Army from 1954-1956 in Germany where he used his knowledge of his second language to assist US officers.

Hunting and fishing were some of his life-long passions as were cowboys, Indians and cars.

He traveled out West more than once for elk, antelope and mule deer and to Canada for a caribou hunt. His first classic car was an Austin Healy that he traded in in early 1958 for the ’57 Corvette which he rallied and raced. He gathered with several other Corvette owners in the early days of the Rochester Corvette Club and has been a member ever since.

A friend set up a blind bowling date with Beverly Ann Campbell. They were smitten. Opposites attracted and soon became a couple. They were married in 1959 at the Elmgrove Methodist Church. They drove the same Corvette to Florida for their honeymoon!

George had a long career as a tool and die maker, working at various shops until he settled at Eastman Kodak from which he retired in 1989. He had a large group of friends with whom he would share tools and equipment, go on hunting trips and ride in the Salmon Creek Snowmobile Club.

Their first child, Ingeborg Dawn was almost born at their hunting cabin in Swain, NY in 1960. Inge came home from the hospital in the same Corvette!

In 1962 they bought the 1867 farmhouse on Ridgeway Avenue where they welcomed their son Gregory Georg to complete their family. Projects around the old farmhouse were never complete, however. Always another ten-minute job to be done which seemed to end up lasting hours instead. Nevertheless, their home was filled with fun, laughs, love and dear neighbors who became more family than friends.

George and Bev traveled often to the Southwest to visit George’s brother Joachim and his wife Glorya in New Mexico when their mother would stay there. They also visited Arizona on numerous occasions and flew to Europe several times to visit family as well.

George could usually be found in his barn or garage working on a car, fixing something or planning his next project. He was the type of guy who would always be willing to help a neighbor or friend with a problem or a project.

He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren dearly. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Beverly Mueller, and brother, Joachim Mueller. He is survived by his daughter, Inge Munnings, her daughter, Dayna (Jim) Moon, and their children Mason and Reagan. His son, Gregory (Teresa) and their children Lucien and Karla Mueller. Nephew, Stefan (Susan Grinols) Mueller, niece, Lauren Mueller-Skinner and her children Claire and Jackson Skinner. Sister-in-law Barbara (Edward) Walter, niece, Amy (Dennis) Drescher their children Christian and Ellie Drescher, and nephew, Mattew (Brian Williams) Walter.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation or 5705 Grant Creek Road, Missoula, MT 59808 or a charity of your choice.
