George J. Norus, age 96 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022.
George was born on July 13, 1925 to Joseph and Anna Norus in Detroit, Michigan. He would go on to meet the love of his life, and future bride, Valeria while they both worked at the same factory. It was love at first sight for George, knowing in his heart that was his true love. They married, and together raised two beloved children: Ken and Leonard. George was a wonderful father, and was so overjoyed to become a grandfather and later a great-grandfather. He was a strong catholic, and his faith and love in Jesus Christ was very important to him. George was a 4th degree grand knight in the Knights of Columbus, and was highly respected by his other knights. George and Valeria also believed in volunteering their time to help others, and together spent many hours volunteering for Hudson's and Target. George was also an avid hunter and fisherman, going on many trips around the United States with his sons to hunt and fish. George will be forever remembered by all who loved him.
Beloved father of Ken (Peggy) Norus, and Leonard (Grace) Norus; cherished grandfather of Jeff (Jeri) Norus, Ken (Abbey) Norus, Cyndi (Jeff) Geary, Brandon (Tonya) Norus, and Renee (Michael) Douglas; and loving great-grandfather of Grant, Kyle, Kelsey, Kami, Ryan, Corey, Anna, Ryan, Kyle, Zachary, Isabella, and Genevieve.
George joins in heaven his beloved wife Valeria Norus, and siblings Alice, and Robert.
