A U.S. Army Veteran, George was a longtime employee of Petersen Brothers Plastics, Chicago.
Beloved husband of Elfriede, née Franz; dear father of Erik (Stephanie) and the late Corrine Piehl; loving grandfather of Henry (fiancée, Kelsey) and Halle Piehl; fond brother of Wally (Diane) Piehl and the late Roberta Tidemann.
Visitation, Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service, 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 7870 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
Private Interment, Ridgewood Memorial Park, Des Plaines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 5201 Galitz St., Skokie, IL 60077.
