George Antonio Poulos 76, died on October 14, 2025, in the loving arms of his wife of 57 years, Roberta Carol Poulos. A resident of Ellaville, GA since 2020, George Poulos was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 07, 1949, to the late Antonio John and Stella Nicole Poulos, where he attended Lane Tech High School.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA, with Father Theodore officiating. Burial will follow the service in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery at 12:30PM EST with Air Force Honors. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM.
George was a proud Vietnam Era Veteran of the United States Air Force, commercial baker of 40 years, and past Chairman of the American Society of Baking Engineers. George sailed the great lakes as a Captain and was a lifetime member of the Columbia Yacht club. George is preceded in death by his parents, Sister, Rosemary Poulos, Niece Andrea Poulos. Survived by Brother Louis (Sandra) Poulos, Nephew Antony Poulos, Sons, Nicholas (Pamela) Poulos, Gregory (Jennifer) Poulos, grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends.
