George "Buddy" Power

Mr. George Everett "Buddy" Power, age 94 of Elkton, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville, KY. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Latham Funeral Home with Mr. Ethan Eadens, Pastor Beau Jensen and Rev. Willard Knipp officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at Latham Funeral Home.

Mr. Buddy was born April 15, 1931, in Todd Co., KY. He was the owner and operator of Power Real Estate and Insurance. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Elkton Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had attended Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and Petrie Memorial Methodist Church. Mr. Buddy was a member of the American Legion and served on the Elkton Bank and Trust Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edwin and Marion Frances Chesnut Power, his wife, Polly Glenn Ogden Power and his brother, Paul Power.

Survivors include his sons, David Power and his wife Teri of Elkton, Jeff Power and his wife Sandy of Elkton, his daughter Judy Gilliam of Nashville, TN, his brother, John Robert Power of Elkton, his grandchildren, Rachel Jensen and her husband Beau, Travis Power, Beth Coop and her husband Scott, Kyle Power and his wife Elizabeth, Katlyn Brown and her husband JonMike and 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be given to Todd Co. Youth Services, Petrie Memorial Methodist Church, Pleasant Grove Church of Christ or charity of your choice.
