Obituary
Mr. George Rabon, age 95, of Pasture Road in Aynor passed away at his residence Thursday, June 15, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Mr. George was the husband of 68 years to the late Guilea Rabon and the son of the late David and Effie Long Rabon. In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by one son: Roger Dale Rabon; one brother: Wilson Rabon; and two sisters: Rutilla Carroll and Maggie Clark. Mr. George was a faithful member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church where he held roles in various capacities. He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed the lifestyle of farming. Mr. George was a man that loved taking care of his family, from his boys to his extended family. Surviving Mr. Rabon are his three sons: Garner Rabon (Peggy), Johnny Rabon (Linda), and Dennis Rabon (Debbie); six grandchildren: Brenda Rabon, Emily Waters, Kristi West, Jonathan Rabon, Jason Rabon, and David Rabon; and seven great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Agape Care and Ms. Vi for the love and care they showed Mr. George over his sickness. A visitation will be held for Mr. George from 5-7 PM Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. A memorial can be made in honor of Mr. George Rabon to Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 2940 Minnick Road Aynor, SC 29511
