George Rasco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Klein Funeral Home - Tomball on Jan. 19, 2026.
George Donald Rasco was born on November 2, 1928, in Madison County, Texas, to George Washington and Ollie Leona Denman Rasco. He grew up on the family farm alongside his five brothers and three sisters, where he learned the value of hard work, faith, and family. Donald attended North Zulch High School and then Madisonville High School, where he was an All-District basketball player.

In 1948, Donald married, Patricia Ann White, in Madisonville, Texas. Together they began a life of adventure, traveling across the country as Donald worked as a pipeline welder. In 1952, Donald was drafted into the United States Army, where he used his welding skills to service and repair military equipment. He proudly served his country in the 22nd order in Germany during the Korean War and completed his service in 1954.

Donald and Patricia shared 50 years of marriage and countless miles, with Donald working as a pipeline welder in 38 states and Canada. In 1962, they settled in Clute, Texas, where they raised their three sons; Gilbert, Dyke, and Cris. They were longtime, faithful members of Temple Baptist Church, where Donald served as a deacon and lived out his strong Christian faith. Donald was also a free Mason for 68 years serving in multiple lodges across several states.

Donald and his family loved spending time at their lake house in Livingston, Texas. Many holidays, weekends and summers where spent making life long memories fishing at "the hump" and "the lump" and watching sunsets from the dock.

Following Patricia's passing, Donald moved to Tomball, Texas, to be closer to family. Over the next 25 years, he was deeply involved in the lives of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, faithfully attending baseball and football games, cheerleading events, pole vaulting, and cherished family hunting trips. In 2000, Donald married Betty McFarland, and they shared 25 years of marriage together.

The Rasco family is profoundly grateful for the enduring Christian legacy Donald leaves behind. A true patriarch, he modeled steadfast faith, integrity, and love. Donald loved Jesus deeply and treasured his family above all else.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ollie Rasco; his wife, Patricia Ann Rasco; his brothers, James T. Rasco, Will Ross Rasco, Gearl Dean Rasco, Sam L. Rasco, and Floyd Lee Rasco; his sisters, Juanita Keefer, Mary Alice Land, and Pansy Ruth Falco; his daughter-in-law, Debbie Rasco; and his great-granddaughter, Haley Olivia Rasco.

He is survived by his sons, Gilbert Rasco and wife Peggy, Dyke Rasco and wife Susan, and Cris Rasco; his grandchildren, Dustin Rasco and wife Heather, Lindsey Parr, Josh and Cotton Rasco; and his great-grandchildren, Holden, Kinley, and Karis Parr, and Dixon Rasco.

A service celebrating Donald's life will be held at Tomball First Baptist Church, 29519 Quinn Road, Tomball, Texas 77375, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22nd.

My personal regards to the entire Rasco family for the loss of their patriarch, Donald. I especially want to send my love and sympathy to his wife of the last 25 years, Betty Rasco. She loved Donald deeply and was lovingly by his side these past years. Betty and Donald shared their love with all their family members as well as with their many friends. Betty always spoke of Donald with love and pride. She embraced his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with the love and caring that she is known for. I know her memories of Donald will sustain her during this difficult time, as will her family and friends. Susan and Clyde Pederson.

Sending my condolences to the whole Rasco family. Uncle Donnie's obituary was lovely. It blessed me to read it and to know that He is at the Savior's side. I know Mama was at the gate to greet her big brother.

Praying for comfort for you all.

Blessing ~
