George Reed Obituary
George is survived by his sisters, Margaret "Meg" Reed of Fairfax, Virginia, and Nancy Reed (Kevin) Charleston of Boston, Massachusetts; his nieces and nephews, Stefan (Katie) Raguindin, Nicholas Charleston, Allyson Charleston, and Matthew Charleston; and his cherished great-nephew and great-niece, Evan and Max Raguindin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Reed.
George was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and generously shared his love of hockey by coaching and mentoring teams at Pine-Richland and Ambridge High Schools. A skilled custom woodworker, he created fine pieces for private homes and businesses. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, photography, and had a lifelong passion for sailing.
George lived a simple life and found his greatest joy in time spent with close friends and family. Those who knew him best will fondly remember his sharp wit and sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for the fall.
