George Reyna Jr. passed away on July 5, 2023 at the age of 73 in Houston, Texas with his beloved wife and daughter by his side. He was born on November 20, 1949 in Galveston, TX to Norma and George Reyna Sr. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1968 and received a degree from Galveston College before starting a lifelong career in petrochemicals.
He was a devoted husband and father who always prioritized God and his family. As a devout Catholic, he was involved in various church activities including the Knights of Columbus and The Christian Family Movement (MFCC). George built a career at BP's Texas City Chemicals plant and retired after 34 years at the company. In retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at his home parish as a religious education teacher for young adults, attending his daughter's school sporting events, and spending quality time with his family.
George was preceded in death by his parents Norma and George Reyna Sr. and brothers Robert Reyna and Ralph Reyna. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Maria Teresa Reyna; daughter Fatima Reyna Mullikin and husband Smythe; brother Ben Reyna; sisters Annette Reyna, Olga Perez, Rose Marie Moosavi, Jeannette Sanchez and Lorraine Narvaez; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
