To the Schimenti Family:

We got to know George & family via a chance meeting through adjacent booths at the Post Corner Pizza Parlor in Darien in 1992. It started with our kids playing in the booths with Teddy and Sarah, followed by our meeting George and Ann. George presented as a man larger-than-life; gregarious, charming, inquisitive, animated, exuberant, passionate, engaging / loud, opinionated, challenging all rolled into one smiling package. It was the start of a human connection that would rapidly forge a friendship between our families of lasting prominence over three decades.

George lived a life on his terms, with his unique compass to guide him. Time spent with George and family was usually fun, never dull, and very often unpredictable because of George´s strong personality. Family and friends came first for George because it was what mattered. George always there for us through thick and thin, highs and lows and vice versa. He had a beautiful heart, kept hidden in an armored exterior. We will miss him greatly.

Our deepest condolences go out to George´s entire family in this loss. May flames of fond memories always light the road ahead when you require them, and may you always find yourself in the warm embrace of family and friends as you push forward without him.

We loved him and love you all! Know we are there for you if need ever you have a need.

With sincere condolences on this sad day,

The Freeman Family:
John, Nancy, Christian, John-John, and our many Springer Spaniels over the years!
