George Schultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Page-Theus Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Mar. 18, 2026.
George Edwin Schultz, born in Alliance, Ohio, on February 23, 1942, left to be with his Lord and Savior on March 17, 2026. Proceeded in death by Carolyn Ann Schultz, his wife and love of his life for 60 years, parents Robert and Wilda Schultz, brother Bob Schultz and two sisters Patricia Redding and Joyce Hoffman and his son George Jr. He is survived by his sister, Melba (Mel) Greenwald, his two sons Darbey (Diane) Schultz and Charles (Nancy) Schultz, four grandchildren Brandey "April", Luke, Kaela, Erick, and three great grandchildren, Hunter, Rowan, and Beau.

George, a US Army Veteran, leaves a military legacy with both sons who served and grandsons who currently serve in the Army and the Army Reserves. George loved Harley motorcycles and was a lifetime member of "HOG ", the Harley Owners Group. He was also an active member of Eagles Nest Baptist Church in Fruitland Park, FL. He loved helping with church maintenance and volunteering in the church nursery with his wife. He retired from UPS where he spent 26 years as a mechanic. George enjoyed working on vehicles in his large garage (including restoring a 1967 Camaro) and talking about classic cars with his sons and friends. George and his wife valued the many years of joy spent raising their two sons on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and time together on their boat, fishing and crabbing as a family.

He and his wife, Carolyn, were well known in their community for get togethers at their home. George never hesitated to help someone in need, and his generous spirit and great sense of humor will be dearly missed by both his friends and family. We are thankful for the time we had him with us and glad that they are together again. There will be a service (military) for them both at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date to be determined.
