George "Little Brent" Smith

George "Little Brent" Smith, 62, of Amarillo, TX passed away on February 4, 2022.

The family will have a private ceremony at a later date. The family will be at 3416 S. Lamar in Amarillo, TX.

George "Brent" was born on August 6, 1959, in Littlefield, TX to George Clinton Heard and Bonnie Faye Blackwell. He worked cattle at the age of four with his dad Neal Smith. Brent graduated from Dalhart High School, and he also graduated from T.S.T.I. in Amarillo, TX. From T.S.T.I., he received his (A&I) Aircraft Inspector and License. Brent was an Aircraft Inspector and Mechanic; he was so proud of his work. He was a pilot until he had his heart attack in February of 2004. He worked for Delmer Miller and Cecil Ingram of Dalhart, TX for many years.

Brent married the love of his life, Lisa Hall, in Clayton, NM on December 27, 1989. They were married for 32 years.

Brent loved his dog Bossi. He loved animals and was an avid gardener, canner, and loved plants. He also enjoyed collecting clocks. Any family that would spend the night would laugh at all of the clocks going off. Typically, there were seven Grandfather Clocks, multiple Mantle Clocks, and many other Clocks that would chime at the same time.

Brent was preceded in death by both of his fathers, George in 1977, and Neal in 2020; sister, Vicky Still; and two nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa, of their home in Amarillo, TX; mother, Bonnie Faye Smith, of Amarillo, TX; seven children, Jason and Chelle Smith, of Dalhart, TX, Cameron Smith, of Dalhart, TX, Trent Smith, of Dalhart, TX, Jeremy and Denise Hall, of Amarillo, TX, Kaesha and Shane Powers, of Dalhart, TX, Wendy Mitchell, of Dalhart, TX, and Kelli Mitchell, of the home in Amarillo, TX; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rhonda and Ed Guillotte, of Little Rock, AR; and Khristy and Rod Sears, of Amarillo, TX.

Brent's grandchildren cherished him, and he cherished them. Brent loved his big family.
