George Smith JR.

Mr. George A. Smith, Jr. was born March 15, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to the late George A. Smith, Sr and Junetta Robinson Smith. He moved to Indianapolis at an early age. He graduated from Brébeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in 1968. He served in the Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he graduated from Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) with a Bachelor degree in General Engineering and attended Indiana Wesleyan University where he earned his Master Degree in Business Administration.
In 1969, he united in holy matrimony to Bobby Jones. God blessed them with two sons Wesley (Marissa) and Christopher (Laura) and daughter Dawn Buuck (Kevin). He was a member and usher at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and attended services at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church.
His employment career was spent working for Wellman Thermal Systems, Krieg Devault Law Firm and Costco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George A. Smith, Sr. and Junetta Robinson Smith and sister Gladys Brooks.
George departed this life on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
To cherish his memory, George leaves a devoted wife, Bobby Smith; sons, Wesley Smith (Marissa), Christopher Smith (Laura) and bonus daughter Dawn Buuck (Kevin):

Great nieces: Desire Smith, Joy Overby and great nephew Kent Jones:
Nephews: Sam Jones Jr, (Rhoda), Christopher David Smith.
Nieces: Marya Jones, Jennifer Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
