George Micheal “Mike” Snell entered into his eternal home in Heaven on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born on January 27, 1947 to Rex and Rosie Snell in Many, Louisiana. He was one of three children. His brother, Marshall Snell precedes him in death and his sister, Diane Smith resides in Florien, Louisiana. Mike was married to Linda Rose Salter Snell for 54 years. They have four children, a host of grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren together. Their children include, Micheal George Snell and wife, Dawn of Spring, Texas, Jeffery Kramer Snell and wife, Ami of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Gregory (Moe) Ryan Snell of Many, Louisiana, and Jessica Rose Gatti and husband, Chris of Florien, Louisiana. Their grandchildren include, Miah Snell and fiancé, Micheal Coudrain, Micheal Snell and wife, Heather, Laylah Snell, Kyle Snell and wife, Hayleigh, Kade Snell and wife, Kaitlin, Kiersten Bartley and husband, Kyle, Kolton Snell, Kain Snell, Alexis Wagner and husband, Caleb, Aleyah Cole and husband, Chase, and Andrew Gatti. Mike enjoyed anything country; hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, gardening, canning, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed sitting on his porch and visiting with all who came by to see him. He enjoyed the company of his “black and whites” dogs, Quick and Izzy. As he got older in age he enjoyed feeding his birds and keeping his yard landscaped with the prettiest flowers around. Mike could beat just about anyone he knew at dominoes and if he lost that round, it was always his partner's fault. To know Mike was to be picked on by him. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
