George Sprayberry Obituary
George was born on February 14, 1938, in Griffin, Georgia. His parents, H. F. Sprayberry and Minnie P. Buchanan Sprayberry, preceded him in death. He was a retired building contractor. He was an avid golfer, loved gardening and spending time at Jekyll Island.
Survivors include his wife, Jan; daughter, Georganne Mobley (Shelby); stepsons, Parrish Riner (Priscilla), Chris Riner (Jamie), and Matt Riner (Ashley); two grandchildren, Kyle Mobley (Olivia) and Katelyn Fink (Nick); great granddaughter, Everley Fink; sister, Jean Murphy (and the late Gene); and numerous step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
It was Mr. Sprayberry's request for cremation and no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in honor of George.
