George Anthony Steele, 83 of Berlin, CT, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026.
Born on December 22, 1942 in Hartford, CT, Geroge is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Dawn Steele. He was the beloved son of the late George Steele and Isabella Colturi-Steele.
George was the proud father to his two children, Keith Steele and wife Roxanne and Karyn Keegan and husband John. He leaves behind five cherished grandchildren, Alex Steele, Kailey Keegan, Jack Steele, Connor Keegan and Hannah Steele. He is pre-deceased by his sisters, Lorraine Willard and Karen Bancroft.
A graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford, George went on to serve in the army reserves where he served for 6 years. He dedicated 39 years to Pratt & Whitney, working in sheet metal.
George, Dawn and his lifelong best friend, Bob Tuninsky, are proud members of Mopars in Motion. George’s love for classic cars led them to countless cruise nights, car shows and drag racing.
Above all, George loved spending time with Dawn. Together they enjoyed traveling, cruising, listening to live music, gathering with friends and neighbors and watching their grandchildren grow.
May his memory be a source of comfort to all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 3-5p.m. at the Brooklawn Funeral Home, 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill, CT 06067
Burial services will be private.
