George Everette Stephen, age 78, of Ocala, Florida passed away on February 18, 2026. He was born February 5, 1948 in Weirton, West Virginia to the late Shirl George and Martha Alice Allen Stephen Dotson. George lived a long life grounded in family, hard work and integrity. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the Vietnam War (12/67-7/69) where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He continued working as a civilian in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a supervisor Lock Operator on the New Cumberland Dam for 35 yrs. He was also a Mason. He retired in 2004 and moved to Florida where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, cars, and sports. He was also a great carpenter.

George is preceded by his parents, and a brother (David Stephen) and his wife of many years Donna Cox Stephen.

George leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife, Judith Williams-Stephen; daughters, Tina Stephen, Barbara Robinson, Georgette Freeman; stepchildren; Jennifer Coburn, Christina Clark (Sean), Michael Williams; brother, Jim Stephen (Vicki, sister; Tammy Stevens, cousin; Lee Burton (Jackie); five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

While George's journey on this earth may have ended, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, wrapped in the love and memories of a life well-lived.
