I grew up next door to George and remember him from at least 65 yrs. Although I have not been able to connect with him for the past 50, I will remember George with good memories always.

To George's family,
I worked with George on most every shift during our years at Cornell. From the first time I met him until we retired, I have never met a more personable, understanding, and caring individual. He was a gentleman's gentleman. He will be greatly missed. George, Rest in Peace, and may God bless you and your family.

When I came to Ithaca in 1976 for my first job
in law enforcement, George was my training
officer, and he became my friend.
George was already ready to help, whether
it be with law enforcement, a needed repair
to vehicle or home, or just a person to talk with.
I remained in Ithaca and in law enforcement
for 31 years, and last saw George at a Thursday
night concert at Myers Park last Summer.
He will be sorely missed.

Sandy and family-I am saddened by early departure for our dear brother.. He served country and community with pride and a sense of "protective instincts" that set a high bar for those he served with and trained..
