George Trepanier Obituary

After attending Kimball Union Academy in Plainfield, NH, George began taking over the family's business, American Plate Glass Co., Inc. in Claremont, NH. He eventually bought the business from his parents, and ran it successfully for decades, where he was known for his integrity and attention to detail.
George married his wife, Linda, on August 13, 1966. They shared a very special marriage for 50 years. In 2001, George and Linda moved to Bonita Springs, FL where they built their home. They enjoyed traveling, especially cruising. The Caribbean, Europe, Hawai'i, Alaska, and the Holy Land were all places that they explored. He also enjoyed dining, and was always open to trying and sharing new tastes. George was a deeply devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and laughter. He was also a host father to a foreign exchange student from Italy who is still in contact with the family today.
Soon after his wife's passing in 2016, George moved to Lakewood Ranch, where he lived with his daughter and her family.
Survivors include his daughter, Kristin Trepanier-Henry and son-in-law, Charles Henry, and his grandchildren, Noah and Isabella Henry.
Friends and family are welcome Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 8,2021 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 12905 SR 70 East, Lakewood Ranch, FL.
George will be entombed at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Covenant House at www.covenanthouse.org, a charity George supported for many years.
