George Tatsuhito Wada Jr., 72, of Arlington, TX passed away unexpectedly on September 27,2024 at his home. Born on March 26,1952 in Fresno, CA he was the oldest son of 3 boys, born to George Wada Sr. and Kakuko Wada. He grew up in Caruthers, CA on his family’s farm. After graduating high school, he attended Fresno State University, graduating in 1974. In college he joined Delta Upsilon fraternity and remained a life long member. Over the years he provided annual photo services for the Delta Upsilon leadership conferences as well as supporting the younger members nationally and locally at the University of Texas, Arlington.
George worked for Air Cal after graduating college. Later he moved to TX after accepting a position with American Airlines in Revenue Management. George retired from American Airlines in 2001. After retirement from American Airlines, he dedicated his time pursuing his passion for photography and film making. Throughout his life, he was an avid practitioner, teacher and student of various martial arts. This led him to a more recent deep appreciation for yoga. Throughout all his endeavors, George cultivated many friendships with many people from many walks of life. Some of George’s treasured companions were all of his dogs, he had several over the years and will be especially missed by Sherman and Rocky.
George is survived by his wife of over 25 years, Eve, sons Eric (Mercy) and Ellison, granddaughter Camille, his brother Kenneth and his former spouse Katherine. George was predeceased by his brother Michael.
A celebration of George’s life will take place on November 24, 2024 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Wade Funeral Home at 4140 West Pioneer Pkwy. Arlington, TX 76012.
