George Baxter Walker, born September 22, 1918, was killed while being held as a German Prisoner of War on April 29, 1944.
At his time of death, he was survived by his parents, Emmett and Ollie Jean Walker, along with three brothers, and five sisters, and his two sons, Charles Samuel Walker, Sr. and Bobby Breen Walker, Sr. He is now survived by his four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
After more than 70 years since his death, he will finally be laid to rest at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, South Carolina, 29307 with full military honors.
