George C. “Gaby” Ward, age 76, of White Pine, passed away at his home after a lingering illness, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. He retired from International Paper after many years of service. He loved UT football and NASCAR racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma Mae Ward; wife of 47 years, Sherry L. Ward; brothers, Kenneth Ward and Roger Ward, son-in-law, Mark Price. He is survived by his children, Dawn (Dennis) Barker, Donna Ward Lamb, Ronda Ward Price, Robin (Michael) Parker; grandchildren, Eric Rector, Brittany Rector Fox, Dennis (Deanna) Barker, Jr., Latoshia Price, Megan Jordan, Matthew (Courtney) Parker, Jacob (Samantha) Parker; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Paul) Bailey, and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Friends may pay their respects between the hours of 12 Noon-4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, with the family receiving friends from 4-6:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine. A graveside interment service will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in White Pine Cemetery with Pastor Dustin Wallace officiating.
