George Webbert Obituary

George Webbert Jr., 93, of Taylorsville, MD passed away peacefully in his home on February 4, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 9, 1928 to George and Ethel Webbert in Baltimore, Maryland. George graduated from Catonsville High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. He worked as a cabinet maker and proudly displayed his skill throughout his home and through gifts for his family. In 1960, he began work as a carrier technician for the Baltimore division of the United States Postal Service until he retired in 1990. George enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, gardening, watching old westerns, coin and stamp collecting, and crossword puzzles. He was an avid fan of baseball, especially the Baltimore Orioles. He also enjoyed traveling with his family, his favorite trip being a month-long cross country RV adventure to California in 1987. He is survived by Lois Webbert, wife of 53 years and three daughters Heather, Jennifer, and Nicole and their husbands; six grandchildren Shelby, Brooke, Kristina, CJ, Elijah, and Emma. Besides his parents he was pre- deceased by all of his five siblings Bill, Ann, Mae, Dorothy, and Charlotte.

My favorite Uncle, rest in peace. He passed along his love for woodworking to me at a young age. He took us, me and my brothers, to watch the Orioles at Memorial Stadium and made us life-long fans. Aunt Lois, Heather, Jennifer, and Nichol I love you all. Rest In Peace Uncle Georgie, until we meet again, may God Bless you and all of your family.
