George Daniel Wooley of Ranger left this life Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the age of 55.
George was born July 26, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois to Gerald Wooley and Johnnie Gray. He graduated Manteca High School in Manteca, California in 1985. He worked various jobs throughout his life, and was a hard-worker, respected by his coworkers and peers. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, camping, riding horses and sharing his love for food...cooking a favorite meal for the family of catfish, red beans and cole slaw. He also enjoyed dancing, listening to music and attending church.
He made people laugh and made friends everywhere he went. He treasured his family, and his kindness and protective nature over those he loved will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
George was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wooley, a son, Jonathan Wooley and his grandparents, Varina and John Burns, and HL and Lorraine Gray.
He is survived by his son, Justin Wooley of Breckenridge; the mother of his two sons, Cindy Galindo of Breckenridge; his mother, Johnnie Gray of Zephyr; three sisters, Cynthia Villalovoz and significant other Greg of Salida, CA, Sara Short and spouse Ronnie, and Mary Burger and spouse Allen, all of Ranger; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service in George's honor at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Merriman Baptist Church, 625 Hwy 2461 in Ranger, with Jerry Hooper officiating
