George was a wonderful man and I consider him a dear friend. It was a very sad day when I learned of his accident and his passing. George was a super guy and I remember him from the first day he walked into the classroom at Elm & Moss elementary school. He was very smart, always had a smile on his face, a handsome boy and and then a wonderful man. My sympathies to all his family.

I met George when he and Alex took over Schmecks Diner. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. My sincerest sympathy to the family .

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of George Zeppos. I admired George for his kindness
towards everyone, he was smart and hard working, athletic in school and just a really nice guy. I first met George at Elm &Moss grade school, we were in the same class room and I remember the teacher introducing us to the new boy from Greece. From there our friendship lasted from Southern Jr. High School, to Reading Senior High and then Penn State. George was the kind of guy many guys would have loved to be. I´m sorry for his wife Diane, his sons and grandchildren and for all his family all of whom will miss him greatly. There is no doubt God will bless his soul and Christ will carry him to His Heavenly Kingdom. May his memory be eternal.
Love eternal, George and Patricia Karetas

So sorry for your loss, Diane. You and I were nursing school classmates, many years ago. George will be in my prayers.

We were pleased to reunite with George when we attended the Greek Festival and found him volunteering. Many years ago we enjoyed many hours together on the sidelines watching our sons play soccer. George and Diane were always supportive, fun loving, and caring. Many best wishes to the family. Sincerely, Del and Pam Berger

So sad to hear of George's passing. I first met him when he came to America in 1954
when he was placed in my class at the old Elm and Moss grade school. He spoke no English at the time but by the end of the year he was one of the top students in the class. Besides being a good student, George was also a great natural athlete and went on to play football at Reading High.

We remained friends all through school and, in fact, he was the first person to teach me to drive on his 1954 Ford. I was always amazed at George's ability to excel academically and athletically when I consider that while the rest of us were leading the normal lives of kids, George was working at his father's restaurant in Lebanon from the minute he came to America.

RIP George.

I will always remember Mr. Zeppos fondly from the time we were neighbors in Linstead. He always had a smile on his face and was kind to the neighborhood kids. My deepest condolences to Diane and their two sons.
