Until her health declined, she faithfully served her church and community, generously giving of her time and talents. Her faith guided her life and was the foundation upon which she built her values, her service, and her love for others.
In her leisure time, Mrs. Holmes found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing electronic games, watching television court shows, and relaxing with a sip of wine. These moments, often shared with her daughter, were quiet yet deeply meaningful, creating treasured memories that will be forever held close to the heart.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ottley Holmes, Sr.; and her brother, Benjamin Miller, Jr.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving daughter, Leslie White (John, Sr.) of Kannapolis; two beloved grandchildren, Ryan Miller and John White, Jr.; her devoted caregiver, Tangie Murdock; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
