Mrs. Aarestad was born February 22, 1924 in Torrington, Wyoming to Clarence and Ida Mae Walker. She was a homemaker and of non-denominational faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene Kenneth Aarestad, a daughter, Kathy Mullen and a son, Steven Aarestad. She is survived by her sons, Scott K. Aarestad of Springfield, Oregon, Robb A. Aarestad of Columbia, Missouri, daughters, Virginia and Perry Welch of New Boston, Texas, Linda Leach of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Phebe Spiller of Pensacola, Florida, Melody and Richard Rudolph of Santee, California, Heather Carr of Chapel Hills, North Carolina, Judy Aarestad of Des Moines, Washington, a son in law, Randall Mullen of Lebanon, New Hampshire, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 24, 2025 in the Bates Rolf Chapel, New Boston, Texas with Brad Wilson and Brian Jagielski officiating. Interment will follow in Ringwood Cemetery, New Boston, Texas. There is no set visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston.
