Georgia Keenan of Williamsburg, VA passed away on July 23rd, 2025. She was born in Bay City, Texas and lived in several states across the US including Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, Virginia, Colorado, Montana, Washington, and Oregon, where she met her late husband, James Keenan. Once Georgia and James were expecting a child, they moved to Williamsburg, VA to be near Georgia's parents, Welton and Bobbie Bryant. Georgia was a Certified Nursing Assistant for almost 30 years. She worked at Dominion Village, Patriot's Colony, and Williamsburg Landing where she specialized in caring for senior citizens with dementia which she considered her calling. She also worked for the American Red Cross and Mary Kay. Georgia was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church for many years, where she taught Kindergarten Sunday school. Georgia graduated from York High School in 1967. She was an avid reader, animal lover, and humorist. Georgia is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, James Keenan; and her mother and father, Bobbie and Welton Bryant. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Keenan and her husband, Benjamin Brummett; her brother, Gary Bryant; and her daughter's Godmother, Mary Overby. A viewing will be held at Bucktrout of Williamsburg on Friday, August 1st from 6pm - 8pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Red Cross or American Diabetes Association.
