Georgia McEnry Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 10, 2025.
Georgia H. (Hurley) McEnry, of Camas and Washougal, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025. She was born on October 18, 1931, in San Francisco, California, the fourth of five children to George R. Hurley and Nora (Mahan) Hurley. The Hurley family spent several years in San Francisco before moving to Vancouver, Washington, where Georgia attended Vancouver High School.

In 1949, Georgia married Jim McEnry, and together they shared 59 years of marriage before Jim's passing in 2009.

Georgia is survived by her son, John McEnry; daughter, Terri (McEnry) Reschak; daughter-in-law, Debbie McEnry; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Doug (2019) and Dan(2020).

Georgia enjoyed reading, playing cards, tending her garden, hosting friends for pool parties, and family gatherings. She was an excellent cook who loved preparing meals for family and friends, and her home was always filled with laughter and good food.

A devoted sports fan, Georgia cheered for the Mariners and Seahawks, and she rarely missed a game or event that involved her children or grandchildren - from baseball fields to band concerts, she was always there, cheering them on with pride. Together with Jim, she was also deeply involved in the Camas/Washougal Babe Ruth Association, where they shared their love of baseball and community.

Georgia will be remembered for her steady presence, sense of humor, and the care she showed to her family and friends.
