Georgia Thelma Saxon Jeselnik-Hunt, 88, of Dunlap, Tennessee passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side on August 15th, 2025. She was born in Millen, Georgia, and devoted many years of her life in service to the public sector as the bookkeeper and vital records custodian of Jenkins County Health Department and later retired as the Director of Jenkins County Senior Center.

She was a loving wife, partner, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister and friend. She lived her life to the fullest, making friends and memories wherever she went. She enjoyed hosting and attending parties, visiting with family and community, laughing and fussing with her twin sister, traveling, and savoring the beautiful outdoors. She was a generous woman, quick to help a family member or friend in need. Thelma brought laughter, cheer, excitement, and fun to all those in her life. She will be remembered by her wicked sense of humor, her free spirit, her talent for story-telling with captivating detail, and her disposition for adventure.

She is survived by her life partner, Phil Hunt, and her four children: Joe Jeselnik (Robin) of Waynesboro, GA; Chris Jeselnik (Dianne) of Beaufort, SC; Mark Jeselnik of Sylvania, GA; and Lisa Procter (Don) of Villa Rica, GA. She is also survived by her sister Jackie Heath of Montemorenci, SC; and Faye Skinner (Jerry) of Augusta, GA. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Thelma was cared for in her ailing years by her devoted loving friends, Monica Johnson, Stacey Eller Johnson, Daphne Harmon, Cheryl Wooden, and Lynn Ellie Mae Chavies.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, James Anton Jeselnik; her parents, Joe and Floy Saxon; and her sisters, Doris Rhodes and Velma Joyner.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
