Gerald Lee Ahrens, 79, previously of Manchester, Michigan passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Gaslight Village Assisted Living in Adrian. Gerald's family and friends will gather Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel.

He was born on August 2, 1946, in Tecumseh, Michigan to Walter and Frieda (Wahr) Ahrens. Gerald married the love of his life, the late, Betty Kellogg on October 7, 1972, in Manchester, Michigan. He will be remembered as an avid sports fan, everything Michigan and Manchester. Gerald was a Manchester High School graduate, class of 1964 and was an all-around athlete in Manchester sports, voting him "Mr. Dutchman" of his class. He was a founding member of the Manchester Men's Club and a regular supporter of the Manchester Athletics Booster. Gerald generously donated his time and expertise through construction work in the community. Above all, Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gerald is survived by his children, Jacqualine Ahrens, Shayne (Elizabeth) Ahrens and Nolan Ahrens; a sister, Darlene Minor; and grandchildren Mahren, Elayne and Walter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frieda; his wife, Betty; sisters, Joan and Marilyn and a brother, Duane.
