He was the husband of the late Malena (Shaw) Ball. Born in Boston, he was raised in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. Gerry continued his education and earned his Bachelors Degree at Boston College and later earned his Masters Degree in Education from Cambridge College. Gerry worked as a Teacher in Boston Schools for over 38 years, retiring many years ago. During his career, he taught at South Boston High, Boston English and West Roxbury High School. His most cherished times were surrounded by his beloved family.
Gerry is survived by his longtime companion Martta Clogston of Weymouth, and his children, Suzanne B. Knight of Walpole, Matthew M. Ball of Hanover, Daniel M. Ball of NC and Peter M. Ball of Hull.
