Thomas T. Chase, 68, died Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, after a long period of declining health. Born in Boston, son of the late Francis and Mary A. (McLaughlin) Chase, he was raised and educated in Roslindale and was a graduate of Boston English High School. Tom was a resident of Stoughton since 1982. He worked at General Dynamics in Quincy for many years and retired several years ago. Tom was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a loyal friend and enjoyed the friendships made with the residents of LaCivita Court in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved watching western movies and old television programs.
Tom was the brother of Debra A. Simon and her husband Harry of Sharon, Frank G. Chase and his wife Kathleen of Stoughton, Sandra J. Vanaria of Walpole and the late Kathleen Bunnell. He was the uncle of David Bodwell, Peggy Quinney, Christine Thompson and her husband Matt, Nicole Berard and her husband Billy and Stephanie Pina and her husband Chris. He was the great uncle of Nora and Aidan Thompson, Colbie and Peyton Berard and Dylan, Ashlie, Katelyn and Michael Quinney. He is also survived by his great grandnephew Cameron Quinney. Tom was the nephew of the late Catherine Peterson. He also enjoyed spending time with Annette Itzkan and her husband the late Dr. Irving Itzkan.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM 122 Canton Street, Stoughton, Ma. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 1109 Central Street, Stoughton, Ma. Donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Clinic, 1 Joslin Pl., Boston, 02115.
