Carolyn Chase

Mrs. Carolyn Peden "Nana" Chase, age 85, of Cohutta passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Wade and Lenora Peden and was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Chase, sister Mary Sue Peden Little; brothers Glen Peden and Jimmy Peden; sister-in-law, Judy Peden and her daughter, Connie Chase Hobbs.

Carolyn was a member of Cohutta First Baptist Church. She was a life long beautician in Cleveland, TN. For many years, she was in charge of the seniors luncheon at Cohutta First Baptist. She was a wonderful cook and caregiver, but most of all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Becky Chase, Greg and Wendy Chase all of Cohutta; son-in-law, Walter Hobbs; sisters and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Doyle Young of Ooltewah, TN and Dymple Brackett of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, and Jerry and Joy Peden of Cohutta; grandchildren Jason (Kelly) Payne. Mandy (Adrian) Arriola, Janae (Kenny) Harper, Jillian (Adam) Brown, Robby (Mattie) Chase and Tonya Chase, Emily Bruce; 13 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews also survive; special friend and caregiver, Jewell Willette.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 22, 2026 in the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Carr and James Brownlee officiating.

Burial will follow in Chase Family Cemetery in Cohutta.
