Gerald “Jerry” Eugene Bennett, age 81, passed away with family by his side on January 15, 2026. Jerry was born October 25, 1944, in Otsego, Michigan, to Gerald and Maxine (Brennan) Bennett. Jerry was the oldest of three children: Jerry, Linda and Judy.
Jerry grew up in Otsego and graduated from Otsego High School in 1962. After graduation, he joined Marines and served his country during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he began his career in the U.S. Postal service. He worked for 27 years.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Jani (Lee) Neidlinger of Delton, Jerry (Stacy) Bennett of Ishpeming and Becky (Danny) Taylor of Richland; his grandchildren: Cassandra Armstrong, Cody Rix, Breigh (Danielle) Bennett, Annabelle Page, Kaylee Bennett, Lily Page, and Cade Taylor; his sisters, Linda Stearns and Judy (Dallas) Fawcett as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
