Gerald Ray "Jerry" Boggs, 86, died on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at his daughter's residence in Middle River, Maryland. He was the husband of the late Alice Faye (Greenwood) Boggs. Jerry was born in Wise, Virginia, on March 18, 1939, son of the late Newton and Bonnie (Mullins) Boggs.

Jerry served in the U.S. Army and went on to become Chief of Real Estate for the Army Corps of Engineers. He loved visiting new restaurants, woodworking, and old cars, trucks, and tractors. Jerry also enjoyed reading, spending time with his dogs, and camping, and was proud to have traveled to all 50 states. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by three children, Melanie D. Hacker and her husband, Robert; Kevin R. Boggs and his wife, Tori; and Bryan C. Boggs and his wife, Linda; four grandchildren, Ashley Trahan and her husband, Keith; Chelsea Lehman and her husband, Josh; Cory Boggs and his significant other, Katie Bielas; and Samantha Warnick and her husband, Robert; two great-grandsons, Jaxon Lehman and Hunter Trahan; a sister, Carolyn Bell; a brother-in-law, Glenn Morgan; and a sister-in-law, Michelle Head and her husband, Ron. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marrietta Roller.

A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A graveside service, with the Rev. Melissa McDade officiating, will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Full military detail will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
