Gerald R. "Jerry" Born, age 90, of Germantown, Ohio, and formerly of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away Wednesday October 15, 2025, at Kettering Health ~ Miamisburg, with loving family by his side. He was born in New Boston, Ohio, on June 1, 1935, to the late Jacob and Minnie Born. Jerry honorably served in the United States Army and Air Force for 32 years, participating in multiple conflicts including Panama, Desert Storm, and Afghanistan. He was Chaplain for American Legion Post #283 in Pickerington, OH, and a member of the VFW Post #9473 in Reynoldsburg, OH, and an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert "Bob" Born and Richard "Dickie" Born, and his sister Dorothy "Dottie" Moore. Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kitty C. (Clark) Born; his children, Matthew (Gina) Born, Robert (Ashli) Born, and Nicole "Nikki" (Mark) Eller; 7 grandchildren, Robert (Alissa) Born, Jeannie (fiancé Wesley Marvin) Born, Christopher (Ashley) Born, Katharine (Adam) Bowden, Joseph Karimi, Madalyn (Corey) Brown, and Faith (Hunter) Weiss; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday November 14, 2025, at Dayton National Cemetery. The Funeral Procession will form at 10 a.m. at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Road, Germantown, Ohio.
