Gerald Borter Obituary
SCHODACK - Gerald F. Borter, 80, of Schodack, passed away at home peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Jerry was born in Albany, N.Y., the son of the late Francis and Jean (Schwori) Borter.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Borter; daughter, Kirsten R. (Rich) Van Apeldoorn; and granddaughters, Emily, Lauren and Megan.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m., on Tuesday, January 27, in the Holy Spirit Church, 667 Columbia Tpk., East Greenbush, N.Y. Mass will follow in the church at 11 a.m. Interment is in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry's memory may be made to the Columbia Greene Humane Society, or the Community Hospice.
