Gerald “Jerry” Joseph Bourque peacefully passaged away at his residence on February 19, 2025, surrounded by family. He was 64 years old.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Allison (McCauley) Bourque of nearly 42 years; proud father to David and his wife Sabrina; beloved Pappy to the loves of his life, grandson Luca and granddaughter Ottavia. Sisters, Sheila Bourque and her wife Janet Walker, Catherine Baldi and husband John Baldi and Amy Downing. In-laws Charles and Sally McCauley, brother-in- laws John McCauley wife Michelle McCauley, Scot McCauley wife Marcy McCauley, as well as uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents Joseph “Jerry” Gerald and Diane Bourque and brother-in-law Michael Downing.

He grew up in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School Class of 1978. 

He has resided in Peabody for over 40 years with his wife Allison.

Jerry was known for his contagious, mischievous laughter, witty sense of humor and words of wisdom. He was extremely handy and could fix almost anything and always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

He loved being outside gardening and spending time relaxing in his screen house listening to music and enjoying the company of friends and family.

In his early years Jerry worked at The Optical House in Wakefield. He spent 25 years working in sheet metal at MICO Manufacturing in Wilmington. The last several years he worked maintenance at the Herrick House in Beverly.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
