Norman J. McCall, age 92 of Wakefield died January 27 in Wakefield after a long period of failing health.
He was born in Woburn, MA on June 10,1933 and was the son of the late Bernard and Louise (Porter) McCall.
Norman was raised in Woburn and as a teenager went to work for the John L. Fowle Company, where he worked for more than fifty years. He had been a Wakefield resident for sixty-five years and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. He was a car enthusiast and a good mechanic as well as enjoying doing carpentry and electrical work.
He was the beloved husband of Ida (Palermo) McCall. He was the loving father of Debbie Burch and her husband Harlan of Melrose, Kenneth McCall and wife Estelle of Derry, NH, Brian McCall and wife Michelle of Saugus and David McCall of Wakefield. He was the brother of Beverly Harkins of Woburn and the late Katherine Merrow and Betty Scholz. He was the loving grandfather of Tyler McCall and Chelsi Woodman and great grandfather of Rowan and Raiden. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Avenue Wakefield on Saturday February 7 at 11:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:00am.
