Paul Concessi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cote Funeral Home on Feb. 23, 2026.
Paul S. Concessi

Saco

Paul Sante Concessi, 75, passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2026 with his family by his side. He was born October 25, 1950, in Winchester, Massachusetts. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Donato and Lillian (Benedetto) Concessi, and his brother, Robert.

Paul grew up in Wakefield, MA, and graduated from Wakefield High School, class of 1968. After graduation Paul enrolled in the (IBEW) apprenticeship program and began school at Coin Electrical School. Paul began a commercial electrical career with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers – Local 103, a union hall he belonged to for 52 years. During this time, Paul received security clearances to be allowed into facilities like Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant in Wiscasset.

Having been raised by a Master Carpenter, he became a self-made Master Tradesman, developing a broad array of skills, which he put to good use. He found great joy working on his house, renovating the kitchen and bathrooms, building multiple barns/garages, and even building new additions for the master bedroom and dining room. Quite frankly, there was nothing Paul couldn't do. He was also a passionate cook and enjoyed growing his own vegetable garden.

Paul married his wife, Ann Wiley, on July 13, 1986. In 1989, they moved to Saco, ME, where they would spend the rest of their lives. Paul and Ann were fortunate to travel abroad many times over the course of their marriage, but also enjoyed the simple pleasures like riding peddle bikes on Ferry Road and along the beach. Never one to sit still and always wanting to learn more, Paul enrolled at York County Technical College (now called York County Community College) in Wells, ME in 1995 as the first enrolled student in its history.

Paul's gregarious personality caused many to gravitate toward him, and he made friends wherever he went. For the last ten years, Paul was a tireless Uber driver, known as the "Pulse of Portland", a job he loved because of the people he met and interacted with. He will be dearly missed by many, especially by his family.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Ann, his son Michael Concessi and wife Edda of Orange, VT, his son Robert Concessi of Saco, ME, as well as by his three grandchildren, Anthony, Domenic, and Carlo, by his brother, Daniel Concessi, Sr. of Wakefield, MA, and by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day at 11:00am on Friday, May 29, 2026 at St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Paul was a great guy and a great cousin. Always joking and in a good mood. As cousin Jeannie said, he had a "twinkle in his eye." Have wonderful memories of our childhood in Wakefield with all the cousins in the neighborhood hanging out together "back in the old days."
A few years ago, cousin Georgia Belle & I had the pleasure of spending a day in Maine with Paul and his lovely wife Ann. They were both such wonderful hosts, taking us all over to see the lovely local sights. A year later my brother, Johnny and I had an equally enjoyable visit with them. I'm so glad we got to share those days with Paul and Ann.
He will be missed as much as he was loved.
Cousin Julie Jean
