Jerry passed away on February 28th 2026, at Hennepin County Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was 78 just one week shy of his 79th birthday

Jerry was born on March 7th 1947, to Raymond L Brown and Violet J Larson. He was a lifelong resident of South Minneapolis Minnesota

Jerry graduated from Vocational High School where he studied and had some additional training in upholstery. He took great pride in his abilities as he should have he was an outstanding upholsterer.

Eventually he moved into the upholstery supply business and was a valued longtime employee (and friend) of The Mark Rochford Upholstery Supply Company where he worked until retirement

Jerry loved animals he had many cats and dogs during his lifetime. Benny and Bud were two of his most beloved cats.

Jerry enjoyed playing the lotto and doing his scratch offs. He also loved to hunt and fish.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Ray his mother Violet his brother Bob his sisters Becky and Kathy and his ex wife Virginia

He is survived by his brothers Greg Steve and Jimmy and his Sisters Bonnie and Tammy his children Christine Gerald Jr. and Melissa his grandchildren Jeraeme (Priscilla) Brown and Hailey Flynn and his great grandchildren Mady Colton Coyote and Edwin

He is also survived by three granddogs Daisy Gilbert and Daisy2

There will be a remembrance at Melissa's house on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 from 2pm to 4 pm everyone is welcome 3207 23rd Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55407
