GERALD DEAN BRUXVOORT, age 92, of Worthington, died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne. He was born November 19, 1932, near Chandler, to Malis and Gertie (Williamson) Bruxvoort. Gerald attended country school. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Gerald married Kathryn Stoel in 1955. They lived in the Chandler & Leota areas before moving to Worthington. Gerald worked at Campbell's Soup and Armour Meat Plant for thirty one years. He was also a custodian at the mall in Worthington. Gerald moved to the Minnesota Veterans Home in December of 2016. He loved to play BINGO, fish and garden.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Kathryn; three children, Bradley Bruxvoort, Edina; Bryan Bruxvoort, Worthington; and Karla Noerenberg, Worthington; three grandchildren, Jason, Tasha and Jasmine; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leonard, Donald, Marvin and LeRoy Bruxvoort; and five sisters, Ardella Doppenberg, Evelyn Moret, Doris Van Surksum, Mildred Van Ruler and Luella Utke.
A graveside service with full military honors by the Lake Wilson American Legion will be held on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 at the Chandler Memorial Cemetery.
