Gerald G. Carpenter Sr. of Plympton formerly of Plymouth, died peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday September 17th at B.I.D. Hospital Plymouth. He is the beloved husband of Patricia (Feci) Carpenter. Born in Flint, Michigan on December 23, 1937, son of the late Fabien and Eleanor (Munson) Carpenter. He was educated in Michigan and later joined the US Navy where he served from 1956 – 1962. Upon his leave from the Navy Gerald went to work in the Construction field where he worked for several local company's including Balboni's Brother's, Malaguti Brother's and Nava Construction. During his off time he enjoyed being with his family and building models.
Besides his loving wife Patricia he is survived by his 4 sons, Kenny M. Carpenter of Manomet, Kevin Carpenter and his wife Monica of Mashpee, Kerry A. Carpenter of Plympton and Gerald Carpenter Jr. of N.H. He is also survived by his brother Ronald Carpenter of Michigan, his sister Barbara of Michigan and the late Gary Carpenter. He was the cherished grandfather of Timothy and his finance Jessica Hamer, Kaitlyn and her fiancée Ellis Holton, Victoria and her husband Matt, Kianna, Patricia, Samantha and Gerald George Carpenter III Great grandfather of Logan, Madison and Gianna Rose. Also survived by several other extended family members.
Graveside service will take place on Friday September 29 11:30 am at Vine Hills Cemetery 102 Samoset Street Plymouth. Memorial donations in his name may be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation at pcf.org. Arrangements entrusted to Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Homes.
