Not sure what to say?

May you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. Gerald had a heart of gold! Adam and Becky talked about Gerald so often and how he made such a huge impact on so many. May you cherish the special times and memories made.
Love and prayers!

I know Gerald from the years I worked at LifeScape (1974-1993). He was such a great guy, always friendly with a huge smile. I’m so impressed he worked at Fryin Pan for 43 years. Wow. My sincere sympathy to Gerald’s family and friends.

He was always full of smiles but also let you know if someone did something wrong .. such a sweet man..

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I worked with Gerald for many years. He was always a joy to work with. Gerald love playing joke on the other employees.
I got my nick name from Gerald. That was back in the early 90s. I still have people call me Duddy to this day. Any time someone calls me Duddy I think of Gerald.
RIP Gerald.

We have been family friends for a long time!!!! We got to spend time with Gerald at Geri’s house with his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephewswe always had such a fun time sitting around and visiting. You could just tell how much Gerald loved being with his family, and that’s what always made me happy

Gerald was a true inspiration to all of us for his lifetime disability that did not waver . HE always had a big smile when you visited with him. He is getting his deserved reward in heaven where there will be no pain but joy for his faith in God. RIP Geralr

Gerald's Obituary

Gerald Terry Conzemius, 66, of Sioux Falls passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center surrounded by family.

Gerald was born August 8th, 1956 in Parkston, SD to Anthony and Martha Conzemius. He attended Armour Special Education until its closure, then transferred to Sioux Vocational in Sioux Falls, which is known today as LifeScape. It was here where he gained his independence and began his 43 year-long career with Fry’n Pan.

The 43 years Gerald spent as the “Cleaning Manager”, a title he took great pride in, proved to be some of the greatest years of his life. It was there he made relationships he cherished, and learned life skills that helped to shape him into the man we all knew and deeply loved.

Gerald loved spending time with family and would look forward to taking trips, whether it be riding the greyhound bus or flying to see some of his favorite people. He brought laughter and joy to everyone. He was the life of the party, and was never shy to ask the prettiest girl in the room to dance. He enjoyed venturing around Sioux Falls on his moped, frequenting the Fry’n Pan’s along his route to enjoy his morning drink of choice, coffee (and to make sure everyone was doing their job the correct way!)

Grateful for sharing his life are his siblings; Rena (Billy) Clift, Lena (Jim) Collins, Song Conzemius, Don (Linda) Conzemius, twin sister Geri Plooster, Mary Conzemius, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Gerald was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Anthony and Martha, older brother Wayne Conzemius, brother-in-law Lanny Plooster, and younger sister Elaine Conzemius.

Funeral services will be at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. with a light lunch to follow.  Family will be present one hour before the service for visitation.
